MTG: Post Malone Is Getting His Own Secret Lair
Never thought you’d read the words “Post Malone Secret Lair“? Neither did we, yet here we are. Spoilers inside.
Post Malone loves Magic: the Gathering, like anyone else. But unlike most other Magic Players, he’ll soon be getting his own Secret Lair set, immortalizing the performer in Card form. Which means Malone will be both a Magic Card and a Spider-Man cameo. All that’s left after that is showing up in a video game or RPG book and he’ll have unlocked the secret power of the Tri-Force.
Or something like that. At any rate, you can take a look at some of the spoilers for the upcoming collaboration between Secret Lair and Post Malone right here.
Post Malone Secret Lair
In the “Secret Lair x Post Malone: Backstage Pass” series, Malone curated and choose the four cards himself from one of his own decks. To make it even more personal, each card places him in a starring role (such as the “K’rrik, Son of Yawgmoth” card becoming “Post, Son of Rich”). For “Secret Lair x Post Malone: The Lands”, not only did he collaborate with the design team to place his tattoos into the scenery, he also hand-wrote the flavor text, which has been printed on every card.
Malone embodies K’rrik, Son of Yawgmoth as Post. Son of Rich. And the other cards in the set are reskins. But this collaboration is impressive. In the new drop though, you’ll also get Post Malone: The Lands.
Malone has made no secret of his love for Magic. Previous big public showings include appearing on the series Game Knights, as well as playing against a random opponent for the chance to win $100k. Famously, he spent $800k on an Alpha Black Lotus.
Both of the Secret Lair sets will be available Oct. 17th
