Jen Walters attended a therapy circle with a colorful collection of super characters last week. Here’s the who’s who of who was there.

She-Hulk has joyfully introduced quite a few C-list characters to the MCU in hilarious ways we wouldn’t have expected. Every time we’re introduced to a super (or sometimes not-so-super) hero or villain, rest assured they are taken directly from the pages of Marvel’s comics. Starting with the colorful cast of characters working towards self-actualization in Emil Blonsky’s therapy group.

Abomination

The most well-known of the group, we won’t spend much time on Abomination aka Emil Blonsky. Appearing on screen for the first time way back in The Incredible Hulk, he has a Hulk-like ability to transform into a super strong, super durable, and super aggressive monster. But these days he’s a reformed man with seven soulmates and a therapy group of supers also looking to better themselves.

Man-Bull

Coming from the Daredevil comics, Bill Taurens is a bull serum experiment gone wrong… or right? Who can tell us besides him, really? In the comics, he is infused with the serum so many times that he eventually becomes powerful enough to believe himself the mythological minotaur. His appearance in She-Hulk is more man than bull, but he’s definitely got the strength and a few of the classic physical features.

El Aguila

One of the mutants slowly making their way into the MCU, Alejandro Montoya’s body can generate and discharge powerful electric shocks. In some versions of the character, he has to be in contact with a conductor in order to use his powers. And in She-Hulk we see him use his sword in this manner. But with mutants back on the rise, will we see more of El Aguila? Maybe!

Porcupine

Instead of being thrown into the supervillain lifestyle through unasked-for powers or experiments, Porcupine chose the supervillain life for himself. Originally an Ant-Man and Wasp villain, Alexander Gentry made himself a suit that shoots porcupine quills at his enemies. In She-Hulk the suit is something of a security blanket for him, and he’s shown being uncomfortable with the idea of taking even his mask off.

Saracen

Saracen’s inclusion into the group is especially exciting if you remember that Blade will soon be coming to the MCU. In She-Hulk, he thinks that he’s a vampire, but his comic counterpart is part of The Ancient, a collection of vampires whose membership includes Nosferatu himself. We’ll be keeping an eye out for Saracen in the future Blade movie. But until then he and Werewolf by Night are reminders that the MCU officially contains some classic horror creatures.

Wrecker

Wrecker and his crew (The Wrecking Crew) showed up a few episodes ago to try and steal some of Jen’s Hulk blood. In the comics, the Wrecking Crew is a foursome of Thor villains with a construction theme. Dirk Garthwaite has an enchanted crowbar from Norn queen, Karnilla, who mistook him for Loki. At least, that’s how it happened in the comics. In the show, it’s more likely that he found it somewhere by chance and decided the best course of action was crime.

Who is your favorite member of the She-Hulk therapy circle? Do you think these characters are truly reformed? Do you think they’ll be making appearances in future MCU projects? Let us know in the comments!

Happy Adventuring!
