Warhammer 40K Meta Hotness: Noise Marines!
Today’s outside the box meta hotness is the Chaos Space Marine – Emperor’s Children Noise Marine. Rock on!
Who would have thought a troop choice that can hit on 2’s with a powerfist and have a decent shooting heavy weapon would be a terror on the tabletop? These guys are one of the sleeper units in the Chaos Space Marine codex and taking them as Emperor’s Children just amps up their damage potential. They definitely turn it to 11 and rock out as hard as they can.
Noise Marine Basics
You get a Chaos Space Marine 2 wound body with the Mark of Slaanesh added on top. You can take an icon to increase the damage capabilities and when you mix in Emperor’s children they get ahold of their Legion trait on top of everything else. Oh and they become a TROOP and thus objective secured. These guys have a decent set of weapon load outs with the normal bolter, chainsword, bolt pistol, Sonic blaster, Blast Master, Doom Siren, and Powerfist. Once you throw an Icon on they hit on 2’s in close combat. Also being Emperor’s Children they ignore any of those pesky negatives to hit that come from wielding an angry glowing fist of doom.
Sonic Swiss Army Knives
These guys really fit the role of best troop in the game. You get objective secured, good close combat damage potential, and a scary gun with the Blast Master. Heck you can go hog wild with Sonic blasters for a mean little bullet hell troop mixed with the punch up ability of the Aspiring Champion loaded to the gills with options. These guys really make you want to look at Emperor’s Children. While they don’t have an amazing Secondary it is something that is doable.

Noise Marine Final Thoughts
Being objective secured mixed with decent combat potential and a good shooting attack makes the Emperor’s Children Noise Marines one of the better troop choices in the game. The Swiss army knife of good damage makes these guys extra sweet.
