You know what they say: there’s more than one way to cook an Aelf…or a Duardin, or Orruk.

The brand new Ogor Mawtribes battletome is up for preorder, and it’s a buffet of exciting new goodies. There are updated rules, refined magic items, and of course, new subfactions. Since the Ogors technically fall into two categories, there are three for each brand; the infantry-focused Gutbusters and the shamanistic Beastclaw Raiders. Each one provides an updated way to play and will help you mold your lads into an unstoppable fighting force.

Meatfist

As with most Destruction armies, might make right amongst the Gutbusters, and there are few mightier than the Meatfist Mawtribe. The most numerous of all the tribes, they have no time for “finkin'”; they’re too busy smashing. As such, you get to add one to your Trampling Charge rolls, giving you a greater chance to just run over enemy chafe and get to the good meat.

Bloodgullet

The most savage of the Ogor tribes, warriors of the Bloodgullet prefer fresh, bloody meat over a cooked morsel. This apparently pleases their hungering god, as their Butchers seem to hold greater magical favor. Bloodgullet Butcher models get to pick an extra spell from their native lore AND can cast an additional spell every hero phase. If you want to drown your enemies in Gastromancy, this is the subfaction for you.

Underguts

Ogors that spend most of their time underground, the Underguts are viewed with suspicion by other tribes, both for their pale flesh and their prolific use of black powder. They care very little, of course, and their firearms are honed to a deadly degree (they might even come close to maintaining them). Leadbelchers and Ironblasters from the Underguts get +1 Rend, allowing you to tenderize your meat before charging in.

Boulderhead

Beastmasters beyond compare among the Beastclaw Raiders, the Boulderhead tribe are a terrifying force. They venerate their mounts above all else, and the beasts return this devotion with displays of violence. Every Stonehorn and Thundertusk in a Boulderhead army gets two extra wounds, keeping them in the fight longer, and you can pick mount traits for three of the beasts rather than just one.

Thunderbellies

Masters of ambush and the hunt, the Thunderbellies attack the flanks of their foes before vanishing into the frost, only to emerge again from a new angle. Their style of war is bleeding the foe dry, descending in force only when the prey is too weak to fight. Thunderbellies Mournfangs can run and charge in the same turn, allowing you to utilize their hit-and-run tactics.

Winterbite

The true chosen of the Everwinter, the warriors of the Winterbite tribe are constantly masked in freezing winds. As such, they attract the solitary beasts of the mountains to their side, who hope to mark quarries of their own alongside the large warriors. Missile weapons receive a -1 to hit while targeting Winterbite models in their own territory, and Frost Sabres, Yhetees, and Icebrow Hunters are not visible to the enemy while more than 12″ away.
