The Rings of Power now has X-Ray. If you enjoy the appendices of the extended edition LoTR box sets, this new feature is for you.

The Rings of Power is an epic fantasy drama set thousands of years ahead of the Lord of the Rings and introduced new characters, plots, and lands to the screen. It’s gorgeous and plays like a long-form, big-budget movie. The show has been divisive among Tolkien fans, but it’s been a hit for Amazon. Over 100 million people have watched and its debut was the largest ever for Prime Video. No matter how much you love or hate it, it’s hard to deny that its first season was a resounding success based on the numbers.

Watch The Rings of Power with X-Ray

All eight episodes are available now, and there’s a new way to watch! Amazon has added the ability to access behind-the-scenes footage. X-Ray adds an overlay that will give you a deeper look at the costumes, design, lore, stunts, and the rest of the hard work put in to bring the series to life. Folks from across the production helped produce The Making of The Rings Of Power – from showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay to the actors, costumers, and CG artists. You’ll be able to peek behind the curtain of the $500 million production as you watch the show.

This long holiday weekend is great to dive into the world again (or for the first time). Here’s how you activate X-Ray on Prime Video…
