Henry Cavill Just Really Wants To Talk About Warhammer
In a new interview with BBC Radio 1, Henry Cavill talks about how he would be a Celebrity Mastermind expert in Warhammer (any).
From how much he loves the Lore of Warhammer, to the nerdiest books on his bedside table, Henry Cavill has a lot to talk about when it comes to Warhammer. Whether it’s dealing with confrontations with “keyboard warriors” or just waxing poetic about his favorite factions, Cavill truly is a Loremaster.
Henry Cavill joins BBC Radio 1’s film critic Ali Plumb for his return as Sherlock Holmes in Enola Holmes 2, alongside Millie Bobby Brown. He discusses their unique brother/sister energy, the challenges of playing Sherlock, and of course, he return to the role of Superman in the DC Extended Universe. Plus, we hear more about his geeky obsessions.
Which is probably why that’s what he would pick as his Celebrity Mastermind expertise. And what I would give to watch him answer questions like “in the age before the Heresy, who were the first of the Astartes to fall to Chaos?”
Or like “how many Lemans Russ does a typical armored company field?”
Or “in what battle did Gazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka distinguish himself as the prophet of the Waaagh!!!
This isn’t the first time Cavill has professed his love for Warhammer. Nor even the first time recently. Not long ago, he spent more thought than most people would give answering the question: what army would Sherlock Holmes play?
It’s just so wholesome to watch. And it’s clear how dedicated the Superman and Witcher actor is to the game. Of course he played Adeptus Custodes. And honestly, it’s what the people want. The fact that he’s out here promoting Enola Holmes 2 is irrelevant. Sure they’ll ask the usual press talking points. But at the end of the day, Henry Cavill just wants to talk about Warhammer.
And we? We want to listen.
