The ‘Blade Runner’ RPG Gets a December Release Date
The neon-soaked future of the Blade Runner RPG is closer than you think. Unless you thought it was as close as December 13th.
That’s right folks, the Blade Runner RPG is almost here. According to an announcement from Free League, the highly-anticipated neon-and-noir-soaked RPG, or neon-noiRPG, is due out in December. Just in time for the winter break, you can take your players into the world of futuristic LA where cases need solving, and replicants need poetic moments on rooftops.
Even if they will be lost, like tears in rain. But December 13th, the official release date, doesn’t look very rainy. At any rate, the game is available for pre-order now. So get ready to step into an evocative world of conflicts and contrasts. To investigate the powers of empathy, the poisons of fear, and the burdens of being human during inhumane times.
Pre-Order the Blade Runner RPG – Release Date December 13th
Set in the year 2037, your adventure begin shortly after the Wallace Corporation debuts the new Nexus-9 Replicants on Earth. You are a Blade Runner of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rep-Detect Unit. It’s your job to delve down the darkest alleys, strut through City Hall, and see enough stains on every soul and scumbag to spot one from meters away.
It doesn’t matter if inside you is a soul or synthetics. Because when you pull that blaster, you’re nothing but a Blade Runner. The closest thing this city’s got to a fighting chance. And you’ve got a job to do.
Other than that, it’s just a normal day on the force, so get to work and grab some noodles on the way. That stack of cases won’t crack itself. It’s a shame you won’t live long enough to solve them all. But then again, who does?
There are several options. You can pre-order the Core Rulebook, the Blade Runner RPG Starter Set, which is the beginner’s box. You could snag the Rep-Detect bundle, which includes both of those, and a GM Screen. And at press time, modules for the Foundry Virtual Tabletop were available for pre-order as well.
Time to go take that Voight-Kampff prep test
