Warhammer 40K Next Week: A Battleforce Bonanza
Next week, Warhammer 40K gets a bevy of battleforce boxes. Now’s the time to plan your next army!
The grim darkness of the distant future is famous for having war and nothing else. And you can prepare your own forces for that war by picking up one of these new Battleforce Boxes for Warhammer 40K.
There’s something for everyone. As long as everyone is human or human-afflicted-by-Chaos. Check ’em out below!
Warhammer 40K Battleforce Boxes
First up we have the Adeptus Mechanicus Elimination Maniple. And while that might sound like some kind of augmetic that helps biological systems purge their waste with 23% more efficiency, it’s actually a force that’s 20 miniatures strong. It features none other than Belisarius “All About Coulda, Never About Shoulda” Cawl, as well as several Kataphron and some Kastelans.
Next, the Chainbreaker Lance is here to bring your dreams of fighting in 40K style mechs to life. With four Armiger-class knights, and a Questoris-class Knight that can also be built as Canis Rex, you’ve got the makings of a Titan Legio right here.
Magnus the Red brings the sorcerous might of the Thousand Sons to your army with his Court of the Crimson King battleforce box. In the Court are 23 of Magnuses thousand sons, so you’ll have to get the other 977 yourself.
These Battleforce Boxes are all about the biggest heroes and villains in the 41st millennium, and that’s especially true in the Death Guard, where Mortarion himself leads 14 Plague Marines and some Blightlord Terminators, bringing enough resilience for a whole army to the table.
Plastic sisters. In a box. And this one is led by Morven Vahl along with six Paragon Warsuits accompanied by Celestian Sacresants and a squad of Battle Sisters.
Then we have the Henry Cavill special: an Adeptus Custodes battleforce led by Captain-General Trajann Valoris as well as 21 other Custodes minis, including Vertus Praetors on jetbikes.
Don’t you worry, Space Marines are still the favorite, though. And they get two different battleforce boxes. The Imperial Fists get a Bastion Strike Force, which is 15 Heavy Intercessors, along with three aggressors, ad Tor Garadon, along with two Imperial Fists upgrade sprues.
And the Raven Guard get the Ravenstrike Battle Force, which brings Kayvaan “Don’t Call Me Kevin” Shrike backed up by a trio of Eliminators, a Phobos-Librarian, two Invictor Tactical Warsuits, and more Reivers in case you don’t have enough sitting in a corner somewhere.
All this, next week!
