Keys from the Golden Vault, D&D’s first new book of 2023, appeared on Amazon earlier this week. Heists aplenty await.

Start the countdown to the announcements. Now a second new book listing has appeared on Amazon, this time for the first “announced” book of 2023: Keys from the Golden Vault.

Keys from the Golden Vault is an adventure anthology. First announced back in August 2022 at the Wizards Presents event, this is one of the five books revealed on the roadmap for D&D in the coming year. Golden Vault promises an anthology of heists of all sorts for eager adventurers.

Here’s a look at the Amazon Listing.

Keys from the Golden Vault Appears on Amazon

Greetings, adventurer. You’ve snuck in and found a wondrous treasure! Keys From the Golden Vault is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure anthology with a heist at the center of every tale. Nothing else is yet known about the contents of this tome, but keep an eye on your favorite D&D news sources for your first sneak peek inside.

We know a little about the book, notably that it’s an adventure anthology, like Candlekeep Mysteries or Journeys through the Radiant Citadel. This probably means 10-12 different adventures of varying lengths that run the gamut from levels 1-11.

From WotC Presents, we know that this is focused all around heists and crimes, and hijinks. The vibe is very much stated to be Ocean’s 11 but in D&D. Though, the last time D&D looked at Heists, in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, there was a perishing lack of heists. There was a race for hidden treasure. And there were dragons, both coin and magical monsters. But heists? Not so much.

It’s going to take a little more than gold and jewels to make a heist. But, with adventures getting a little more experimental, hopefully,we’ll get the promise of this premise in spades.

Happy Adventuring
