Dominaria Remastered – Black Spoilers
First up, Phyrexians continue their twisted work in the background of this set. The Phyrexian body snatcher is here to turn creatures into itself and back again. Meanwhile Chainer and Dark Withering and Dread Return all exemplify what Black’s strong suits are in this set.
Take creatures on the board, or in a player’s hand, or in your own deck, then put it right into the graveyard. Where it’s just waiting to be used.
For all that Black’s spoilers this set are full of Horrors and Nightmares, there’s a surprising amount of goblins. Which is good, because the Goblin Turncoat needs as many friends as possible to stay alive. Also Howl from Beyond and Mindslicer are just delicious.
The Necrosavant is about as graveyard-y as it gets. Not only does it keep coming back, it’s also a handy sacrifice engine. As long as you’ve got the mana for it. The old school Phyrexian art in this set is phenomenal. Much more flesh and fiend than devilish machine.
Plus the Royal Assassin makes a reappearance. Ready to destroy any creature the second it’s tapped. What a dilemma this humble 1/1 presents.
Then we have the Urborg Syphon-Mage, Uprising and of course Yawgmoth himself, the reason any of the Planes are in their current Phyrexian predicament in the first place.
Dominaria Remastered awaits!
