Horus Heresy: GW Teases 2023 Minis
The Horus Heresy is heating up and GW is teasing a bunch of new minis coming our way in 2023. Can you ID them?
2022 kicked off the Horus Heresy:Age of Darkenss launch this Summer and I don’t think anyone thought GW would push it so hard. There have been a very large number of plastic kits moving over their previous Forge World resin incarnations. It doesn’t look like GW plans on slowing down in 2023. Take a look at this teaser video and see if you can figure out what’s coming:
The Big Ones
First up, we get the three big ones that are known. We get Horus Ascended, Legion Typhon, and The End and the Death Volume 1, to start the two-part wrapup of the entire Horus Heresy novel range.
The Warmaster is looking fantastic. I look forward to seeing what dead loyalist paint schemes get chosen for his base.
Move over Vindicator, your big brother Typhon is in town.
At long last, the beginning of the end – with Dan Abnett at the helm.
The Mini Mysteries
Next we get to the 5 mystery minis. Look sharp. Here are our best bets what what is headed our way next year:
With the Typhon already done in plastic, it’s stablemate the Cerberus is an easy lay-up. And I think that is exactly what is seen here.
This is an interesting one. It feels like some kind of assassin, and in particular, a Chaos one. The Liber Imperium Assassin section explained that other non-Imperial Assassins would be appearing in a later book, and at least one has already appeared in a Black Libray novel.
This feels like a Consul of some type, maybe a Legion Librarian, or Esoterist. He’s got a kind of creepy vibe going on with that staff.
He’s got a big gun and looks sniper-y. Id say a Legion Vigilator. I would be very interested in seeing GW start cranking out a bunch of plastic clamback Consuls. There are so many to choose from!
Hello Legion Scimitar Jetbikes – I can only assume in beautiful plastic! I’ve been waiting so very, very long!
