If you want a big model to build in the new year, look no further. This 6,785-piece LEGO Star Wars AT-AT is over two feet tall.

The giant, lumbering armored transport is one of the most iconic vehicles of Star Wars. The design came from ILM’s Joe Johnston. He found inspiration in the work of artist Syd Mead and an extinct rhinoceros. The result was a huge, intimidating walker that could carry dozens of troops over rugged terrain. And could trip over itself to its doom.

This dog-sized AT-AT Ultimate Collector’s set is over 24.5 in. (62 cm) tall and has articulated joints. The detailed interior can house an army. The main bay fits forty minifigs (nine included), four speeder bikes (two included), and an E-Web heavy repeating blaster. Plus the cockpit can house two pilots and a passenger.

At 6,785 pieces the kit is a challenging build that makes an awesome display piece when done. The legs, neck, and other parts are movable to strike the perfect pose. It also comes with a nameplate.

Just so you know BoLS may collect a share of sales from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. The staff has decided we need to decorate the office with a screen-accurate Hoth diorama made of LEGO. We need five of these, among other sets. Help us accomplish this, please.
