MTG: Dominaria Remastered – Blue Spoilers
Dominaria Remastered Blue Spoilers abound, with all manner of cards designed to keep your opponent from playing Magic: the Gathering.
What good is showing up to your FLGS on a Friday night with a Blue deck if you can’t keep your opponent from playing the game they showed up to play. It’s a Blue archetype as old as time immemorial, and it’s going strong in these Dominaria Remastered Blue spoilers.
You’ll find reprints of some old favorites, including Counterspell and the Force of Will reprint of your dreams/nightmare.
Dominaria Remastered – Blue Spoilers
Blue’s control starts off pretty strong with Circular Logic. As well as several card discard/draw engines. Blue is also, traditionally, the color of birds, and they’re here in force as well, with the Aven and Faeries (who are like birds if you don’t think about it).
But then it really starts cooking. Counterspell. Confiscate. It’s all very fun if you’re the one playing them.
Force of Will gets a lovely reprint. Frantic Search means you’ll always be ready to play. High Tide means you’ll have enough mana to pay for whatever else you want to on whichever turn you play it. And let’s not ignore the triumphant return of Horseshoe Crab.
Blue also gets to play with cards that disrupt the enemy’s tempo. Leaden Fists and Man-o-War are great examples. While Blue also plays with the Madness mechanic, meaning that you discard afflicted cards into exile and can cast them for their madness cost (or else put them into your graveyard).
Blue also gets some wonderfully sheep-themed cards. There’s the Ovinomancer and Ovinize, both of which transform your enemy’s creatures into 0/1 sheep.
How long will it be before Time Stretch gets rebalanced or banned? The betting starts today. Also Urza is here, leading his army of artifacts.
These and more await in Dominaria Remastered, due out January 13th!
