‘Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’ Release Date & Details Revealed
According to a Steam leak the next game in the Star Wars: Jedi series will be hitting shelves in mid March of next year.
Earlier this year it was announced that Cal Kestis would be returning with a sequel to the hugely popular 2019 game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We were given a teaser trailer and a vague release date of “2023” but little else in the way of specifics. But this week a release date gameplay and key art give us something a little more concrete to look forward to.

Taking place roughly five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order, the 2023 sequel will continue the story of Order 66 survivor, Cal Kestis as well as the rest of the crew of the Stinger Mantis. According to a recent leak from the Steam page, we can expect a March 16, 2023 release for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. But that may not be all of the definitive information we can expect in the coming days. Supposedly the upcoming 2022 Game Awards later this week will be the perfect opportunity to create some marketing buzz.
Also briefly available on the Steam site were still images from the upcoming game, pre-purchase goodies for the regular and deluxe editions, and a brief game summary:
“This narratively driven, single-player title picks up 5 years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar. As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times – but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order?”
At this point, we’re not a hundred percent which systems Jedi: Survivor will be released for. But with no talk of older consoles, best guesses include the most current options, or PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and current gaming PCs.
Galactic Tie-Ins
In addition to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, we have an upcoming novel, Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars to look forward to. The story is being written by Sam Maggs (Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins – Jester Lavorre, The Unstoppable Wasp: Built on Hope, and Call of Dudy: Vanguard.) Battle Scars will follow Cal Kestis and the rest of the crew of the Stinger Mantis during an adventure set between the events of Fallen Order and Survivor.
Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars is scheduled to hit shelves shortly before Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on March 7th, 2023.
And if that’s not enough, Jedi: Survivor is set to get its own art book. Personally, I love art books. The behind-the-scenes development notes and the early concept art always make the game itself somehow more interesting.
