The D&D LEGO Set Finalists Have Been Chosen – Time to Vote for Your Favorite
To celebrate 50 years of D&D, LEGO is making a very special set. And they want you to vote to determine which of these five sets it will be.
D&D and LEGO go hand in hand. Imagination, creativity, and expressive fantasies all play out whether you’re using dice or bricks. And in their LEGO Ideas design contest, more than 620 submissions came through with everything that exemplifies what makes D&D shine. But WotC and LEGO winnowed the options down to their five favorites.
Voting is open through December 12th, so you’ve got the weekend to get your votes cast. The winning option of the five sets pictured below will become a real-life LEGO set.
D&D LEGO Sets – Finalists
First up, this imaginative expression of the Monster Manual. Out of its open over, a number of iconic monsters burst forth. Front and center we have a Beholder, there’s also a Red Dragon, Demogorgon, Death Knight on Nightmare, a Hag, and then the two standouts for me: the Mimix and Gelatinous Cube.
It’s the eyes, really.
Xanathar runs an underworld empire in Waterdeep. He is literally the underground. Pictured here is his study, complete with a miniature of Tiamat down in the corner. And of course, Sylgar the goldfish in the bowl.
This set holds a secret, though, it’s also a dice storage kit.
Speaking of functional LEGO sets, Tiamat’s Dice Tower features a loving rendition of the Queen of Dragons wrapped around a dice tower that actually works!
This Mimic transforms before your very eyes. With this, you can bring the experience of watching a treasure chest turn predator before your eyes to anyone who’s in your home.
Finally, a dynamic rendition of the end of an adventure. Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End represents the height of adventure. And with 360-degree detail, it captures the iconic aspects of D&D.
Which set do you think should win?
