In a universe full of cattle, be the predator. This week we’re celebrating the dark underbelly of these Drukhari cosplays.

The Drukhari are the dark cousins of the Aeldari, the Eldar. Driven by a lust for pain and self-gratification, they revel in the vices that Eldar culture shuns. They are motivated by ruthlessness and trickery, and this week we’re celebrating the best that Drukhari warrior culture has to offer.

This isn’t our first foray into Drukhari cosplays- we’ve covered Drazhar and Lelith Hesperax before. Now, in this week’s article, we’re featuring a cosplayer who has gone above and beyond to bring Drukhari culture to life with cosplay. Today, we have a new cosplayer to show you.

Becoming Drukhari

Rachael Huntington’s Dark Eldar is a gorgeous piece of work. First off, I’m incredibly impressed with her eye makeup. The dark and broody bring a sharp contrast to the signature red hair of the Drukhari. Additionally, her paintwork is gorgeous as well – it’s like a Warhammer 40k miniature brought to life with the use of shading and highlighting. The entire effect is stunning and vivid. We’re excited to feature these Dark Eldar cosplays!

“I will never forget what I saw at Obsidian Station. The bones of five thousand brave men lay scattered about the winding corridors. Their blood was slick upon the walls and floors of the dormitories. Their innards were hung from control panels like grotesque decorations of some insane celebration. But not a single skull was to be found; taken as sick trophies by these despicable attackers.”

“Why do we ride atop these elegant craft? The better to hear the screams of our prey as we ride them down, to savour the fear etched on their faces, to taste the tantalizing tang of their blood in the air as an appetizer before the feast. But most of all we ride them so that the slaughter may begin as soon as possible.”

“Every weapon your prey wields can be turned against them, given sufficient application of wit.”
