Come and check out your first glimpse at WH40K: Rogue Trader’s Alpha build, then find out how you can join the Rogue Trader Closed Alpha.

In the grim darkness of the distant future (late 2023), Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader will have gone gold. So even though there’ll be only war, you’ll at least be able to take a break from it to play as a Rogue Trader gallivanting around the Koronus Expanse, becoming enmeshed with the local politics, all to profit as much as you can.

It’s living the dream, really. And if that’s a dream you can’t wait for, the closed Alpha is open now, if you pre-order a founder’s pack from Owlcat Studios. Doing so will get you immediate access to the Rogue Trader closed alpha, and all subsequent phases until the game goes live.

Rogue Trader Closed Alpha – First Looks

In a developer livestream, Owlcat studios gave us all a first look at the Alpha build, where you can see for yourself what the game is shaping up to be like. If you’re unfamiliar with Owlcat studios, they are the folks who made the excellent video game adaptation of Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

Their specialty is isometric, party-based RPGs, which served them well in the other games. And in Rogue Trader, the same should hold true. After all, what is a Rogue Trader but an RPG party full of weirdos, outlaws, and probably heretics?

It was enough to base a whole tabletop game around, at one point. And as history insists on being a flat circle, it will likely be again. Especially after Owlcat delivers the goods with their version. For now, we’ll have to be content with taking baby steps in the alpha world. If you’re interested, you can sign up by pre-ordering a digital founder’s pack from them.

If not, Rogue Trader is expected to launch in 2023!
