D&D Lego Set Winner Chosen – It’s a Keep-er
Out of hundreds of submissions, a champion has emerged in the quest to find a D&D LEGO set. The winner is a keeper.
Last year, LEGO Ideas ran a contest in honor of the upcoming 50th anniversary of D&D. In it, fans submitted designs for their own creations as an Official LEGO set.
Now, at last, a winner has been chosen. And while we don’t yet know what the final set will look like, we have a glimpse at the winner of the D&D x LEGO Ideas contest. Take a look!
D&D LEGO Set Winner – Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End
After hundreds of entries and an exciting Fan Vote, only one could be selected! A huge thank you to everyone who participated. We are very happy to announce that Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End has been selected! A huge congratulations to BoltBuilds, the incredible designer behind this submission.
This submission will be part of the 50 years of Dungeons and Dragons celebrations and we cannot wait to see this set in the hands of fans in the future.
However, let’s not forget the other four creators who were in the running; a huge congratulations to them too!
Now the folks at LEGO are quick to point out, this is only a fan model. It’s not representative of the final product. But this set was chosen from among hundreds of entries, and won out of five other finalists, which included a depiction of the Monster Manual:
And one of everyone’s favorite Beholde Boss, Xanathar:
As for what happens next? LEGO will take the submission along with “other products” currently in development. And before too long we’ll get LEGO and D&D together as they’ve always been meant to be.
Just take care that you don’t accidentally build a LEGO D4, stepping on one of those has got to be the greatest pain known to humanity.
