Goatboy’s Warhammer 40K Grimdark List – Iron Hands Dreadnoughts!
Goatboy here and the new meta is going to be wild for a bit. Meet a meta contender – the Iron Hands Dreadnoughts!
The Marines got point drops, some tweaks, and other fun changes that makes me have to rethink some of my older armies. Heck, I painted 3 Invictor Warsuits before the meaner armies came out so why not try to get them to work right? This means looking at a Dreadnought heavy build which has me thinking an Iron Hands option would be pretty dang good.
I am not going to add in Warlord traits as I am just excited I could play this as those suits got painted and never used. I just wanted to see what my points add up to with a basic test list. Most likely some of this will be tweaked as I look at what I have painted. Thankfully at the beginning of the Pandemic I went hard on a Marine army and painted a lot of stuff I just wanted to paint. Oh and if there is an assault dreadnought in all those shadows… we’ll see what I can do. Hello my mechanical pretties!

Iron Hands Dreadnoughts Walking to War
This just seems like a simple bully list designed to put some rough stuff in the middle, have a nice hammer backfield, and then have some very surgical options to go out and kill the enemy. The Jump Pack characters allow me to move forward as needed and offer some flexible options. I think I would set up the two either with some assault options, just to ensure we can put some damage as needed and tear out any poor Inceptors that might get stuck.
Will this work? We’ll see as it is just fun Marines doing Marine stuff.
