Warhammer 40K: New Cadian Upgrade Pack Looks Fantastic
The new Cadian Upgrade Pack looks like a heck of an upgrade. Get ready to add some character to your Cadians!
When I build the Cadians in the Cadia Stands Box I was impressed with the amount of options available. There’s a ton of extra bits that you’ll find in the box to build you units out. This makes sense and those units have a wide array of jobs to fill.
Mixing and matching bits to create unique units is part of the fun for me personally. Now, the Cadia Upgrade Pack is coming and it’s adding a TON of cool bits to the pool.
“It’s only fair that the massed ranks of the Astra Militarum should get their own upgrade sprue, inspired by the dogged soldiery of Cadia – and the many regiments founded in their image.”
Let’s break this down a bit. First up, we’re counting 26 additional heads to work with. Not counting the head attached to the Pask-esq Commander torso. Then we’ve got a 18 arms for various sides and poses. We also have a bunch of cool accessories to work with like packs, gas cans, sand bags and more. And a cape! It’s seriously a lot of cool bits and mixing them in with the Cadian Shock Troopers is going to be a great way to spice things up.
There’s also a handful of models you can build right out of this box and GW has assembled a few to check out.
First up we have a Medic. If you’re a Guardsman this model could be your best friend. The blood pack and syringe are a nice touch for sure. I just hope he’s able to get troopers stabilized fast enough.
The wounded trooper looks like the Medic got to him in time. Sure, he looks…terrible. He’s clearly had a no-good-very-bad day. But he’s alive. And back in the fight.
There’s also this map reading Cadian to build into the mix. He might have a confused look on his face but that’s probably because he’s having to navigate on an alien world. Good thing he’s got a map to help.
From the rest of the bits, there’s quite a few more options to work with. I like how this pack adds in some “real world” options like the axe and wrench. I could see these bits getting used in all sort of units from your standard troopers to weapon crews and even vehicle crews and more.
So get ready to add some more character to your Cadians with this upgrade pack coming soon.
