Not only is Raven an incredibly popular character, but she also has a really unique aesthetic. She’s magician meets goth, representing the quiet, scathing intellectual vibe in the Teen Titans. Her signature colors of purple and black are iconic and so fun to cosplay. Many of the items that make up her costume are easy to find or build, and we have a great starter list for you.
Raven Closet Cosplay: The Bodysuit
Black on black on black, and long-sleeved at that! Raven sports a simple, form-fitted long sleeved leotard. Those are pretty easy to find, and you can always do a long-sleeved shirt, bathing suit, or another staple from your closet.

Raven Closet Cosplay: The Cape
Can any superhero truly brood without a shadowy cowl? They might be able to, but SHOULD they? Naaaaah. We’ve gone plush with a velvet hooded cloak, but you can do a matte fabric, something lighter, or anything you like. In a pinch, you can repurpose a shawl or sheet and drape it for something less formal, as well!

Raven’s purple look extends to her boots, but you don’t have to go purple. Go with a basic black boot if you’re digging pieces out of the closet, but these gorgeous purple suede boots are a great choice if you want something new. Raven rocks a grey tight, and there’s not much more to say about that. You could go black or purple as well if you want to mix things up or use something you already have on hand.

Last but not least, you can’t complete a Raven cosplay without her jeweled belt! There are many options for this online, and you can always change it up and use a black or purple leather belt instead, or something in silver or gold. But if you want to enhance the look, go for the rubies!
