Spoilers for Season One Ahead
The first season ended on a cliffhanger. After discovering her powers, Alina began magical training and was tasked with destroying the Shadow Fold. When put to the test, she failed but was able to escape its dangers and defeat The Darkling… or so she thought. The final scene shows him emerging from the Fold with an army of monsters. There is an epic showdown on the way, and everything hangs in the balance.

Shadow and Bone Details
The cast is led by Jessie Mei Li as Aline and Ben Barnes as The Darkling. It includes Freddy Barker as Kaz Brekker of The Crows, Amita Suman as Inej Ghafa, Kit Young as Jesper Fahey, Danielle Galligan as Nina Zenik, and Calahan Skogman as Matthias Helvar. This season is adding Lewis Tan as Tolya Yul-Bataar, Anna Leong Brophy as Tamar Kir-Bataar, Patrick Gibson as Nikolai Lantsov, and Jack Wolfe as Wylan Hendriks. Eric Heisserer (Bird Box, Arrival) is the showrunner this season.
Shadow and Bone S2 arrives on Netflix on March 16th.
