Warhammer Next Week: Kill Team And WarCry Expand
Next week’s preorders are here, and with them come a cadre of Kill Teams and Warbands. Get ready for skirmish Sunday.
It’s a swath of skirmishers for next week’s preorders. Both the Age of Sigmar and 40K get whole new squads of close-encountering teams very good at killing. Whether you’re into WarCry or Kill Team there’s something to love.
Just as long as you don’t let them get within perfect range. Let’s take a look!
Kill Team – Soulshackle
First up, Soulshackle, the newest expansion for Kill Team. This brings two new Kill Teams into the dark corridors of the Gallowdark.
In the latest expansion for Kill Team, the ultimate agents of Imperial law enter the Gallowdark and clash with elite Drukhari Kabalites in a series of running battles. Soulshackle introduces new terrain, rules for breaching walls, and control consoles, as well as these two new Kill Teams.
And joining them outside of the box, available in their own, the Kasrkin and Kinband Kill Teams. The Militarum and the Kroot can clash against each other, dealing deadly damage at midrange.
Or for the new Boarding Actions, there’s the Imperial Breachers that come with their own door shield, cool drones, and combat shotguns.
Just watch out for the Hierotek Circle Kill Team. They’re full of green goo and green light, thanks to their obsessive Cryptek and accompanying Apprentek.
These Kill Teams will need someplace to fight. Fortunately, there’s the new Gallowdark terrain kit;
Which has all the spaceship corridors you could want, as long as you want exactly the amount contained in the box.
What’s that? You want more? How about a Killzone Upgrade?
As well as two new books:
But that’s just the grim darkness of the distant future.
WarCry Bloodhunt
The new WarCry expansion, Bloodhunt, dares to ask, what happens when Vampire Monks fight Khorne Cultists?
The Askurgan Trueblades are monastic Soulblight vampires who preach restraint and self-denial. They have journeyed to the ruins of Talaxis deep in the heart of the Gnarlwood in search of an ancient master. Here they are set upon by the Claws of Karanak, frenzied cultists who act more like beasts than humans.
And joining them? A skirl of skinks, the Hunters of Huanchi, who bring chameleon-like camouflage to help them escape from any situation.
Meanwhile, the Jade Obelisk wade into battle in, ahem, stony silence.
All this next week!
