Cocaine Bear doesn’t have anything on these adorable horror movie monsters.

Zombeavers

A spin on the classic college students go to a remote place for spring break, then horrible things happen genre. Things being undead beavers that eat people. It’s all Bill Burr and John Mayer’s (with an awesome fake stache) fault. Really.

Night of the Lepus

This cult classic came out in 1972. It’s based on Russell Braddon’s 1964 sci-fi novel The Year of the Angry Rabbit, which the author wrote as a joke.

Rancher Cole Hillman has a massive rabbit problem on his hands. His land is overrun by them. He enlists the help of the local college president, Elgin Clark (DeForest Kelley), along with researchers Roy and Gerry Bennett. They decide the best course of action is to inject the bunnies with chemicals – definitely not the best course of action. They create giant mutant rabbits that want to kill every human they see.

Lake Placid

Tired of watching Bill Pullman fight aliens? In this so bad it’s good movie, he plays a game warden that’s looking for the cause of the bizarre death of a local fisherman. Sheriff Hank Keough (Brendan Gleeson) and visiting paleontologist Kelly Scott (Bridget Fonda) offer to help out. And they find something with large teeth and a voracious appetite.

Ok, so a giant croc isn’t cute – but Betty White is, and she’s deadly in this one. It counts.

Black Sheep

These sheep really don’t like the idea of being turned into sweaters. At all. If you’re looking for something with more gore and utter weirdness, Black Sheep is for you.

Sheep-fearing Henry returns to his brother’s New Zealand farm, hoping his sibling will buy out his share of the property. However, what he finds are genetically altered sheep that prey on humans and turn their victims into undead, woolly killers.

Frogs

A chemical company mogul cares more about how the grounds of his private island look than the health of the environment. After he sends his gardener out to spray pesticides, things start getting strange. The amphibians start behaving oddly – gathering in mass numbers, hopping on people, eating them, breaking into houses, making lots of paranoia-inducing noise, and looking creepy.

So… it’s bad. It’s really, really bad… but also amazing in its badness. Oh, and it stars Sam Elliott.

Ben

The sequel to Willard follows his favorite rat, Ben, as he finds a new human friend and forms an army of squeaking terror that’s mission is to kill. It has a touching theme song by Michael Jackson, for some reason.

Just so you know BoLS may collect a share of sales from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. We want to start our own evil animal army, which means we have to feed them so they don’t eat us. That’s not cheap. Please help us in this endeavor.
