WizKids is back with a new “life-sized replica” this time of an adorable little baby owlbear. Just the perfect size to sleep on your desk.

WizKids is at it again. After unleashing a “life-sized” mimic, they’ve decided to turn to something less overtly malevolent. And now, instead of a living treasure chest that wants to eat your face, you can get a much more cute and cuddly replica. This time, it’s an adorable baby owlbear. Before they grow up into a giant, man-eating monster, they sure look cute, don’t they?

This is yet another in WizKids big replicas. And the baby owlbear is sure to be a perfect addition to your creature collection.

Pre-Order the “Life-Size” Baby Owlbear [MAKE ME A BUTTON]

There’s nothing cuter than baby animals and the same is true for magical creatures! This life-sized baby Owlbear is 11″ tall and made from soft foam that’s hand-painted to show off each and every fluffy baby feather. This figure is incredibly lifelike and sure to attract attention in your home, game room, or store!

They’re iconic monsters and owe their existence to a bag of plastic toys (along with monsters like the umber hulk and rust monster). But owlbears have a sort of reputation all their own.

One features pretty predominantly in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves or D&D HAT if you prefer. And it’s not hard to see why, they’re sort of the iconic “a wizard did it.” No really, that’s one of their origin stories:

Scholars have long debated the origins of the owlbear. The most common theory is that a demented wizard created the first specimen by crossing a giant owl with a bear. However, venerable elves claim to have known these creatures for thousands of years, and some fey insists that owlbears have always existed in the Feywild.

And while the adult owlbear is quite fearsome, you can see a baby owlbear in the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3, during one of the more memorable quests. If you play your cards right, one will join your party.

At any rate, D&D and owlbears go hand in hand. So if you’re looking for one that will just barely fit in your hand, look no further.

What life-sized replica will they come up with next? And why do I get the feeling it’s going to be extremely evil.
