Horus Hersey: Forge World Is Redoing Resin Kits To Use Plastic Upgrades
Forge World is retooling a few resin vehicles kits to use new plastic parts from the new Horus Heresy range.
The new plastic Horus Heresy models are designed for versatility in mind. One of those bits is the universal sponson mounts. If you’ve built any of these kits then you’re probably aware they are the same across many models. Now, they are getting added to some of the Horus Heresy Forge World resin kits, too. Which kits are getting which plastic upgrades? Glad you asked…
“The Horus Heresy team have been hard at work figuring out where else they can use these new weapon attachments, and the answer is, of course – more tanks. Some of your favourite resin hulls are being retooled to accommodate these shiny plastic sprues.”
Legion Arquitor
All three versions of the Legion Arquitor are getting refitted for the plastic sponsons — that includes the morbus bombard, spicula rocket system, and graviton-charge cannon.
The Fellblade (and variants)
The Fellblade along with the Glaive (aka the Fellglaive) and the Falchion are all getting updated kits.
The Mastadon
One of the chonkyist kits to ever be made in resin is also getting it’s sponsons replaced with the new plastic option. That should help with the weight. And am I the only one who thinks this kit would be awesome in plastic!?
The Javelin
The Javelin attack speeder is also getting some new plastic bits. This is another really cool kit that is in resin — at least for now. The turrets are also getting updated to use the new plastic kits.
All of the above kits are resin and are getting plastic updates. But what about the other way around? How about a plastic kit that’s getting a few resin upgrades of its own?
Deimos-pattern Rhino
Soon you’ll be able to convert your standard plastic Deimos-pattern Rhino into a fancy command vehicle with the resin upgrade kit from Forge World, too! By adding a trusty vox relay and geo-locator beacon the Deimos becomes the Damocles Command Rhino!
All of these revamped kits are coming from Forge World soon so keep an eye out for their changes! (and maybe we’ll get the rest of the kits converted to plastic one day…)
