Marvel: Crisis Protocol – Immortal Hulk Rules Preview
The Immortal Hulk is coming to smash in Marvel: Crisis Protocol. Who’s going to be able to stop the Jade Giant now!?
Atomic Mass Games is showcasing the Immortal Hulk’s powers and cards. He’s going to one tough cookie to crack! Maybe it’s best to just let the Hulk chill out for a bit…unless he’s coming after you. In which case, it was nice knowing you.
“Bruce Banner has a complicated personality, to say the least. Most people are aware of his transition from mild-mannered scientific genius to the raging embodiment of strength and power, but that only begins to touch on the various shards of his psyche. One of his lesser-known personalities is a dark, twisted version of the man that is out to punish the world for the pain and anguish it has caused him. Even when someone manages the nearly impossible feat of killing him, they find that they have only made things worse as he rises again, angrier and more powerful than ever. “
Immortal Hulk Rules
Immortal Hulk starts off with a whopping Threat of 7. And you’re paying for what you’re getting with him. He’s a gamma-radiation fueled powerhouse and he’s gonna smash anything in his way.
For starters, let’s just look at this defenses! He’s rocking a 4/3/5 which is kind of nuts to begin with when you consider his 15 health! He’s also immune to Hex, Poison, and Stun. Additionally, he doesn’t actually FLIP to injured. He goes from Healthy back to Heathly+ with the Immortality rule. You can KO him, if you manage to take him to the dazed status twice. But with the regen built in…good luck. Oh and if you DON’T keep the damage up, he will eventually get a full reset thanks to The Green Door.
“[The Green Door] superpower ensures that whenever he has an Immortality token, he will be removing 1 damage from himself each turn. Make sure you note the fact that this superpower works at the end of EACH turn, not just your own turn. When you’re removing a damage from him after each of your turns and each of the other player’s turns, you may quickly find no damage left on him!”
Hulk’s basic Smash is back and it’s a 2 range attack with strength 7. It’s also got a built in throw if you get any wilds. And he’s tossing size 4 or less characters like ragdolls. Speaking of throwing things Gamma Burst is a massive hit that can also throw targets. Note that it doesn’t have any size restrictions, either. It might cost 5 power but I think the Hulk is going to have fairly easy time generating that thanks to Smash and Endless Rage.
Not content to stay put, the Immortal Hulk also has Gamma Leap which allow him to hop range 2 to a new location. There’s new places to hide from him. And if you though that he was done throwing things…well, guess again. Leave Hulk ALONE!!! Allows him to toss terrain of size 4 or less range Medium. There’s no hiding from the Hulk’s rage!
The Big Green Fighting Machine is coming soon and is currently up for Pre-order.
