Total War: Warhammer 3 – Chaos Dwarves In Action
You know by now that Chaos Dwarves are on their way to Total War: Warhammer 3. But how do they play? See Chaos Dwarves in action.
We all know that dwarves can sometimes dig too greedily, too deep. But what happens when Chaos gets into the stout, stone heart of a dwarf? Well. Then your hats get taller and spikier, while your beards get even curlier.
And it all starts with the first of the Chaos Dwarves’ Legendary Lords, Astragoth Ironhand. Master of metal and sorcery, and the head of the Disciples of Hashut, Astragoth Ironhand shows off the new Chaos Dwarf mechanic.

They’re on their way, but how do they play? Join us as we dive into our first Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs gameplay showcase: the Disciples of Hashut!
Astragoth Ironhand is as much a behemoth on the battlefield as he is a fell sorcerer and high priest. Though, as you’ll see, he’s fallen a bit from grace in the eyes of the Tower of Zod.
Astragoth’s goals are numerous. On the one hand, he is ready to prove that he’s still worthy of taking his place once more among the leaders. But he is also charged with building a big enough drill to pierce the heavens. Or, at least, a drill capable of piercing Hashut’s realm itself:
That’s the overarching goal of the campaign. Gather an economy strong enough to build the Great Drill, and then go get all that tasty Blood of Hashut for yourself, and show everyone just why the daemon dawi are a force to be reckoned with.
And helping you out with this, the Chaos Dwarves can call upon the might of the Lore of Hashut. This makes it easy to punch well above your weight, using spells like Burning Wrath to hurl a swirling ball of lava at a target.
Finally, we get a look at how Chaos Dwarves organize their society (a template which you can mirror and evoke for your own settlements, or riff on it like jazz). All of this will be available in the coming Chaos Dwarves DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3.
Chaos and Dwarves, what more do you need?
