Warhammer 40K: Even More Boarding Patrols Inbound
Games Workshop has announced three more Boarding Patrols for Warhammer 40,000. Get ready for Custodes, Thousand Sons, and Sororitas!
If you thought that the Boarding Patrol train was over guess again. Here’s a quick look at the three more that are on the way from Games Workshop for Warhammer 40,000.
Boarding Patrol: Adepta Sororitas
Contents:
1x Canoness
5x Celestian Sacresants
9x Sisters Repentia w/ 1x Repentia Superior
10x Battle Sisters
This Boarding Patrol is a super useful box because it’s all generic units you can use. My initial reaction is get two boxes if you’re starting Sisters because there’s not Special Character in this set to fret over.
Boarding Patrol: Adeptus Custodes
Contents:
1x Captain-General Trajann Valoris
3x Allarus Custodians
5x Custodian Guard
This is a one-boxer for me. Even at a discount I’d rather get multiples of the Combat Patrol over multiples of this one if I were just starting out. The inclusion of Trajann Valoris is my only reason not to snag more copies of this one as the rest of the box is very useful. Not that he’s a bad inclusion — it’s just you really only need one of him and there’s other combo boxes to work with.
Boarding Patrol: The Thousand Sons
Contents:
20 x Rubric Marines
2x Chaos Spawn
Okay, this one doesn’t get any more basic and that’s not a bad thing. If you’re looking to start a Thousand Sons force this box set is probably going to be a steal of a deal — especially if you’re looking to load-up on Rubric Marines. I’ll wait to make my final judgement once we get the full retail price but I’m betting this one is going to be a popular option!
All three of these new boxed Boarding Patrols are coming soon from Games Workshop. And, looking at their contents, I think that each one would slot in very well with their Combat Patrol counter parts. If I didn’t know any better I’d think GW planned this all along…
If I had to pick one off the bat, I’d go Custodes. That’s like…2000 points right there, right!?
