Warhammer 40K: Vashtorr’s Cult Gets Boarding Action Rules
The Cult of the Arkifane gets their own set of Boarding Action rules. Will they make Vashtorr proud?
It’s kind of funny to me that the Arks of Omen event sparked a new way to play with Boarding Actions and one of the key characters, Vashtorr the Arkifane, can’t actually participate in Boarding Action games. His rules don’t quite fit in the restrictions of Boarding Actions. It’s kind of silly but it’s a balance thing.
Anyhow, Vastorr might not be taking this fight on directly but what sort of evil villain would he be without henchmen? It’s time to send in the Cult of the Arkifane!
“He and his daemon engines are a bit too hefty to be squeezing down space hulk corridors, so he deploys his cultists and pulls the strings from the shadows.”

Cult of the Arkifane – Vashtorr’s Boarding Crew
These rules allow you to build a themed Boarding Actions list with Vashtorr’s…inclinations in mind. The main thing here is that this Boarding Patrol has some unique mustering requirements.
If nothing else, this Boarding Patrol is going to flood the field! Obviously there are some big trade-offs here. However, they do come with benefits like those Technoarcane Blessings…
There’s also an entire section of special stratagems you’ll have access to as well.
The Cult of the Arkifane is going to be an interesting option to run for Boarding Action games with the sheer number of bodies they are going to throw at the enemy. Plus their stratagems are very tricky, too. You’ll be messing with the enemy and making them think there’s ghosts in the machines in your next Boarding Action game. Only in this case, there really will be a Daemon messing with things on the technological side. Watchout for those hatches…
