Warhammer Next Week – Khorne And Slaanesh Bring More Chaos To AoS
Slaanesh and Khorne head up the charge of next week’s pre-orders. With shiny new battletomes and hero models, Chaos awaits!
Sex and violence, two of the most powerful forces in entertainment. Whether you’re looking for gory or illicit thrills, these two concepts are primordial powers. Of course they account for fully half of the pantheon of Chaos gods in Warhammer’s worlds. They just go together.
Which is why it’s fitting that Khorne and Slaanesh bring their indulgent, hedonistic charms to bear with two new battletomes, vanguard boxes, and hero models, all coming up for pre-order next week!
Khornate Chaos
Khorne is up first. Rage, violence, and blood define the hosts of Khorne. And you can explore all of these concepts in Battletome: Blades of Khorne. This book has new warscrolls, pitched battle profiles, and Path to Glory rules.
Accompanying them is Khorne’s definitely-not-a-magic-user magic-user, who carves burning runes of not-magic into the land, causing it to produce effects which are like magic but again, definitely not because Khorne hates it with all his might.
And of course, there’s the Blades of Khorne vanguard box, which comes with 3 Skullcrushers, 10 Blood Warriors, 10 Bloodreavers, and a Slaughterpriest.
Slaanesh’s Slithering Sensuality
Meanwhile the Hedonites of Slaanesh must figure out how to rescue their Dark Prince from captivity. Which, if you believe for one second that Slaanesh is somehow not into being tied up and drained of power, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you. Led of course by a Lord of Hubris. These are warriors whose obsession with perfection has led them to the height of Slaaneshi indulgence. They let their foes attack first and then attack back, truly living up to their name.
