Warhammer Online Preview: Adepticon 2023 Predictions
Soon gamers will flock to Adepticon for the Games Workshop previews — but here’s what we think will be showcased an unveiled.
I feel like we’ve collectively gotten a look at the crystal ball already thanks to Games Workshop’s teasers. Plus we know which games are going to be covered as well. That said, it’s still a pretty wide array of things that could be shown-off. So let’s get out our prediction caps and fire off some predictions we hope to see from Games Workshop.
Warhammer 40,000 Predictions
First up, the obvious one is 10th Edition. I mean…that’s what the entire rumor mill is saying. However, I still have some questions about that possible reveal. For example, the Arks of Omen stuff is still going on, right? Well, it’s about to wrap-up at least. Furthermore, we kind of collectively figured that Primaris Commander Dante was supposed to be revealed at Adepticon. Plus we’ve gotten that other teaser involving Terminators and Tyranids.
So I am curious if 10th edition is actually going to be previewed/revealed at Adepticon or if the “main event” was going to be something else entirely. I’m not counting a new Space Hulk out just yet. And with all the Arks of Omen stuff, I don’t think you should either.
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Predictions
For months we’ve been speculating about the Battletome releases. At this point all the ones above are accounted for — except the two Death books. I’m 99.99% sure we’re about to find out what those two books are going to be at Adepticon 2023. Personally, I’m still hoping we get Flesh Eater Courts and Soulblight Gravelords. However, the Ossiarch Bonereapers are also in the mix. Which two of the three will it be? I honestly could go either way because whichever book is the third in line will hopefully get a much larger release later. Whichever ones it does end up being are probably going to get the new book + single model treatment. Place your bets on death, folks.
I would also wager that we’re going to get the next major story beats as well as some more teasers about the Seraphon. They’ve got a whole lot of models coming and we’re excited to see what else GW is packing for them.
Horus Heresy Predictions
I don’t know what’s on deck for the Horus Heresy other than more vehicle kits and the next Exemplary Battles season will be focused on Daemons. I’m hoping that GW announces some more army books in general. Or at least ones for Daemons. I’m also hoping we see some sort of conversion or stand-alone kits for Solar Auxilia. I do know that Forge World is still cranking out those upgrade packs as well! There’s still lots of products for GW to put out for the Horus Heresy. Where they go is anyone’s guess…but I’m gonna go with Chaos Daemons!
Warhammer: Kill Team Predictions
So we know there’s a Road Map for Kill Team. And we’ve gotten releases for Shadowvaults and Soulshackle. The final box is Gallowfall which we haven’t seen anything for…yet. So if I had to wager, I’d probably expect Gallowfall to be announced next. We’ll probably get a few more Kill Teams announced as well. This should also tie nicely into the wrap-up for Arks of Omen, too.
Warhammer: Underworlds Predictions
Underworlds is basically at the end of it’s Road Map. The last two products are out with Gryselle’s Arenai and Beastbound Assault. That means there’s a new season on the horizon and what better place to make that announcement then at Adepticon 2023?! Well, at least that’s my guess. Which warbands are going to get revealed? I don’t know but I’m sure the poses are going to look awesome.
