No word yet if the Call of Duty board game will have an action to mute that kid who won’t stop talking about his relations with your mother.

The Call of Duty board game promises an “exciting array of iconic maps, a variety of intense game modes, and team-based objectives” and that “players will blow away enemies with the game’s intuitive action system.”

Multiple Game Modes

The game will include minis of the iconic soldiers and weapons from the series. Similarly, there will be multiple scenarios and gameplay modes to allow multiple ways to play. No word yet on which modes and scenarios will be available.

Arcane Wonders is publishing the game. They’ve also made games like Sheriff of Nottingham and Mage Wars Arena. CEO of Arcane Wonders and a lead designer for the game, Bryan Pope says, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Activision to bring the Call of Duty franchise to the tabletop.”

Pope went on to say, “As life-long COD fans, we’ve worked hard to capture the scope, stakes, and sheer intensity of the video games in ways that COD fans and board gamers new and old will love. We’re looking forward to bringing the unforgettable fun and competitive frenzy of COD to game night for years to come.”

Launching in Fall 2023

The Call of Duty board game is currently set to launch a Kickstarter campaign in Fall 2023. Once completed, there will be a full retail launch in 2024. It’s being developed in partnership with Activision and the press release mentioned this will be a “long-term partnership”. This could mean they plan to make a bunch of expansions for the game. But this could also mean Arcane Wonders are planning on developing games for Activision’s other franchises.
