Games Workshop is taking a pop-shot at AI generated images with this week’s Rumor Engine and it’s actually pretty good jab!

It’s Tuesday so we’re all here for another Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. Typically the image steals the show but this week the “meta narrative” from the text takes the cake for me. Let’s get into it!

via Warhammer Community

“We’ve heard a lot of chatter about ‘artificial’ ‘intelligence’ creating images lately, and given the quality of content they’re spitting out we’re glad our own Rumour Engine is powered not by fallible silicon, but the finest caged time-traveller brains. They’re remarkably hard to come by.

To prove our technological superiority, we’ve prepared a demonstration of the one skill we know artificial so-called intelligence can’t match – drawing hands. “

Heh. That’s a pretty good shot at AI generated images as looking at the hands is certainly a good way to see if the image is an AI generated one or not. I’m sure the programmers are still trying to figure that out. In the meantime, we’ll just appreciate the image the Rumor Engine is providing and thank the for protecting us from Time Travellers??? Waitaminute…

Now, as far as what this image could be of I think that it’s possibly something Tzeentch related. Looking at the hand which isn’t quite human sure has me leaning toward something chaosy. And Tzeentch fits because of their fixation with fire.

Now it could be a lot of different things but now that I’m thinking it’s Tzeentch I’m having a hard time unseeing it. That’s where you come in! If you’ve got some other ideas please share them in the comments and help us figure out what it could be!

It could be Tzeentch…but I hear they are changing all the time.
