The Rumor Engine is back with an image of a bit that looks cool but has us at a loss. What could this unknown widget be?

It’s another Tuesday which means it’s time for a brand new teaser from the Rumor Engine and this one does not disappoint. Today we have a cool looking bit that could be right out of a mad scientist’s lab. Or it could be part of the flux capacitor. Or it could be…well, take a look for yourself and find out!

“There are a lot of gizmos in Warhammer, as well as thingamabobs, doohickeys, and assorted widget. But it’s been a little while since the Rumour Engine has beamed us through a really classic whatchamacallit such as this.”

To me, this looks like something you’d find in a hardware store in the electrical outlet section. Or maybe by the lighting section. Point is that it looks like we’re going to be dealing with some serious high voltage with this one.

Naturally, my first inclination is something from the Adeptus Mechanicus. Their techno-archaic look would be the perfect fit for whatever this bit is from. But then I starting thinking about all those volts and got a little amped up…

What about those Negavolt Cultists from Blackstone Fortress? What if GW is teasing us with something coming down the pipe. That could fit, too. Also, I’m wondering if this is a weapon or not. My first guess was some sort of electrical zap gun but we already have those in 40k with the Volkite weapons and uh…they don’t look quite like that.

Whatever it is, it’s certainly powered up. Now…if we can just figure out what it could be! That’s where you come in. If you’ve got any ideas share them with the rest of the class in the comments section.

What the heck is this Unknown Widget from the Rumor Engine?
