‘Gloomhaven’s RPG Will Have “More Than 500 Miniatures,” But is That Enough?
Gloomhaven‘s highly-anticipated RPG promises more than 500 miniatures in its upcoming Kickstarter. Maybe that’ll be enough.
Gloomhaven is one of the most popular board games of all time. It frequently tops the charts for the best-ranked board games out there, currently occupying two spaces on the top ten list at BGG. And it’s not hard to see why. It’s a beautiful, big box full of miniatures and tiles and rules that promise endless adventure.
It looks amazing sitting on your shelf, waiting for your friends to be able to schedule a session. This is why Gloomhaven will already be a successful RPG. It’ll be just as fun to not play it as it will be to actually get a session together. Especially after the folks at Cephalofair released a trailer showcasing the scads of miniatures meant to accompany the crowdfunding campaign.
Gloomhaven RPG – 600 Miniatures Storage Challenge Begins Now
Last year Cephalofair announced plans to crowdfund a fantasy miniatures line to complement our catalog of boardgames – providing highly detailed sculpts for each of our in-game enemies, bosses, and summonable creatures typically represented by 2D cardboard standees and tokens. Now, we’re excited to reveal that we’re planning so much more than just miniatures with our brand-new product—Gloomhaven: The Roleplaying Game!
Unlike other RPG systems reliant on dice and set character-build structures – Gloomhaven: The Role Playing Game will continue to uphold one of Cephalofair’s core mission statements – to “minimize randomness and reward player savvy”.
Alright, so what actually is here? Well in the video we get some extremely detailed closeups of the miniatures with some epic music and lighting.
And the campaign promises so much more. Including a miniatures line for all titles set in the Gloomhaven universe. Meaning you’ll get miniatures for use in your regular Gloomhaven or Frosthaven games.
This explains why more than 30,000 people have signed up for the crowdfunding campaign before it’s even begun. And you can too.
