Warhammer 40K: Chapter Masters That Need To Cross The Primaris Rubicon
Games Workshop has pushed a few Chapter Masters across the Primaris Rubicon but there are still some hold outs.
Now that Azrael and Dante have both gotten the Primaris treatment it’s time to check in with a few of the other Space Marine Chapter Masters who need an upgrade.
Crimson Fists – Pedro Kantor
I will continue to campaign to have Pedro Kantor get the Primaris Treatment. As the Chapter Master of the Crimson Fists, a chapter who likely had a TON of Primaris Marine reinforcements added during the Indomitus Crusade, he seems like a perfect fit. Plus, a new Primaris Model version of Kantor would look sweet.
Space Wolves – Logan Grimnar
Will the old wolf ever take the plunge? I could see GW going either way with this one. If they DID update him I wonder if they will keep the Viking sled them or go with the Old Man Logan model and update that:
On the other hand, GW did just say that Terminators can be either Primaris or Classic marines…Either way, I do hope Grimnar gets a Primaris update.
Salamanders – Tu’Shan
To be perfectly honest, I don’t know if Tu’Shan has taken the Primaris plunge or not. And that’s kind of the point of why he’s on the list. The other reason he’s on this list is because he doesn’t have a model! That’s a shame as it could be a cool opportunity for GW to expand the Salamanders Chapter a bit more. Keep in mind that Vulkan He’stan is actually NOT the Chapter Master. He’s the current Forgefather.
But yes, I’d also like to see him get a Primaris model, too.
Iron Hands – Kardan Stronos
It’s understandable if you didn’t know who Kardran Stronos is as he also doesn’t have a model. We also don’t know if HE has crossed the Primaris Rubicon either. That said, GW does have a Primaris Techmarine as well as the special Iron Hands Primaris character Iron Father Feirros:
So it’s not like it would be unheard of for this to happen. Then again, a new Chapter Master for the Iron Hands would be pretty cool…Just sayin!
Imperial Fists – Gregor Dessain
And finally, since we’re hitting up a the chapters that have supplements but no models we have to mention Gregor Dessain. And like the other Chapter Masters on this list with no model we don’t know if he’s Primaris or not (yet). But considering we have Tor Garadon it’s kind of silly we don’t have a Chapter Master model for the Imperial Fist.
I really don’t know if we need a “Generic” Chapter Master model for all the non-first founding chapters or what. And yes, you can do you own conversions based on any of these models. But, if I were GW, I’d look at relaunching all these Space Marine Chapters with supplements with their own Chapter Master models to go along with them.
