“It’s almost the end of an era, here at the Warhammer Studio. As we stand on the cusp of the revolutionary new edition of Warhammer 40,000, we salute the passing of the current edition with the Balance Dataslate equivalent of a 21-gun salute. Here’s Stu from the Warhammer Studio to explain more about the final few months of ninth edition.”

Kicking things off there’s a couple of targeted changes in the new Balance Dataslate. First up, The Dark Angels Deathwing is getting their Inner Circle ability snipped a bit. They no longer have the ability to ignore unmodified wound rolls of 1-3. And to prevent armies from preemptively moving up and into that void created by the Deathwing’s targeted nerf GW is also changing the Kasrkin and the Finial of the Nemrodesh 1st in the Astra Militarum.

Additionally, there’s a few things that have been un-nerf’d in the new Balance Dataslate, too. Tyranids Hyper-adaption and Synaptic Imperatives are “back in full.” Also, Core is returning to T’au Broadside Battlesuits.

There’s also some tweaks to the Arks of Omen secondary objectives that impact a few different armies. Be sure to check out those changes below and download the Balance Dataslate for yourself to read-up on the final revisions to the Warhammer 40,000: 9th Edition rules.

It’s the final countdown to the end of 9th and the launch of 10th!
