Warhammer Fest is this weekend from Games Workshop and we are hoping to see more than just Warhammer 40k 10th Edition.

We’re excited about Warhammer Fest 2023 happening this weekend as it’s going to be a packed weekend with a ton of reveals and new stuff shown off. The big star is obviously the Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition big reveal.  But there’s more going on at the show.

So what are we excited to find out and what are we hoping to see? Let’s dive in!

#1 Warhammer 40,000: 10th Edition

Let’s kick this off with the big one. Of COURSE we’re most excited about the 10th edition news. We’d love to get all the info we can about the game. We want to see all the details about what’s the same and what’s different. We want to see all the data cards we can get our hands on and we want to see as much of the ruleset as possible. Heck, if we could get enough info to actually play a game that would be even better. We know all the rules are going to drop on day 1 for everyone but…it would still be nice to learn any and everything else we can about it.

This entry could get an entire article about it. But for the sake of this one we’re just lumping ALL the 10th edition news/previews/demos into this one spot. We’ve already had a ton of previews on it, but again, we still don’t have ALL the info. But the hype train is real and we’re on board for it.

#2 Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Future Plans

The last road map update teased a pair of “mystery” books. We also know that Games Workshop is ramping up for the Cities of Sigmar release in the fall. I’m wondering what the heck those two mystery books are and also what the new GHB will have as well as where it will be set at. Are we going to stay in Ghur or will we go to another Mortal Realm? Also what surprises are in store for the next season of GHB updates? But that’s all for AoS Future Plans…this next one deserves it’s own entry!

#3 Cities of Sigmar and the Dawnbringer Crusade

If the new/updated army range is coming in the fall then that probably means the models are getting to the point GW can show off some more stuff. We’ve gotten teasers already and even seen a few of the completed miniatures (like the ones above) but we’d love to see MORE from this range. It’s the Old World Empire army…but newer and different. I’m also curious to see what happens with this army and the Dawnbringer Crusades. Also…what about the rest of the non-human members in the Cities? There’s a lot of Aelves and Duradin running around. Are they getting any love from this release?

#4 Warhammer: The Old World Updates

Games Workshop is hosting a preview for the Old World this weekend and I’m legit curious about what they are going to show off. This is a project that always feels very far away to me. But it might be a lot closer to release than I think. I’m wondering about the ruleset GW is using. I’m curious about the base-size updates across the board. I’m wondering about how they are going to sell us miniatures for this update to Warhammer Fantasy Battles!

Are we about to get new kits and units for the Old World or just re-packaged versions of the old kits? I just want to know what the game plan is for the Old World and more info is what I hope to get from Warhammer Fest.

#5 Warhammer: Horus Heresy Future Plans

I really hope that Warhammer Fest 2023 showcases some more updates and future plans for the Horus Heresy. While I do love to see all the new tanks and dreadnought updates, I’m really wondering what else GW has up their Heresy-Era sleeves at this point. I know that the next “season” for their free battles is going to involve Daemons and Solar Aux — but what else do they have planned for miniatures?

If there are any big announcements for the Horus Heresy then Warhammer Fest 2023 seems like the perfect place for them! So here’s hoping we get some cool news about the Heresy-Era there.

Bonus: Everything Else!

GW is going to showcase a TON of stuff this weekend. From Warcry to Kill Team to Middle-Earth and Underworlds. Plus, you know they still have a few surprises to throw our way. It’s going to be a jam-packed weekend and the venue looks completely nuts. Good luck to everyone going and competing in any of the tournaments! It should be a blast and an awesome weekend of all things Warhammer!

It’s gonna be a LONG weekend!
