Warhammer: Roadmaps For Warcry And Underworlds
Games Workshop has revealed the future plans for both Warhammer Warcry and Underworlds. Here’s what’s going to happen in 2023!
Warhammer Fest 2023 is going strong and today we’ve got a ton of reveals. As part of those reveals GW has dropped a bunch of info for Warcry and Underworlds. Let’s breakdown each Roadmap and see what’s coming to a skirmish game near you!
Age of Sigmar: Warcry
Nightmare Quest is coming soon with a pair of new Warbands. The Questor Soulsworn are going up against the Royal Beastflayers in this boxed set.
Warcry: Roadmap
The next year is already planned out for the battlefields of Warcry. Nightmare Quest is up next. In the summer we’ll see a new Starter Set for new players — I’d also expect to see a new terrain set to kick off, too. After that in the fall we’re getting 4 new warbands and it looks like it’s going to be heavy in Order vs Destruction department. Winter will bring in 2 more warbands this time an Order vs Death vibe. Spring time will then be another 2 new warbands.
There’s a lot coming to Warcry and that also means a ton of new warbands to add to your existing Age of Sigmar Armies, too!
Warhammer: Underworlds
Wyrdhollow is landing this weekend for Pre-orders and there’s already a new warband announced for it as well.
The Nighthaunt are getting a new warband and the are packing one heck of an executioner’s blade!
“No matter where the blade travels, it is always accompanied by four spirits, their identities subsumed into nameless roles – one who bears the chopping block, one who sharpens the blade’s edge, one who sentences the condemned, and one lucky ghost who gets to wield that big old sword. “
Thematically this is a really neat warband with each Nighthaunt bringing something to the tabletop. Don’t get caught on the chopping block with these ghosts around…
Underworlds Roadmap
Underworlds is getting a similar treatment this year with a number of new releases. We already have Wyrdhollow up this weekend and along with that a new season of Organized Play. The Headsmen’s Curse Warband was just revealed and they are coming this summer along with more Rivals Decks and an updated Starter Set.
In the back half of the year we’ll see a new Chaos Warband in the fall with a new Core Box and TWO more warbands. Winter is coming with a new Destruction Warband and also a new batch of Rivals Decks.
