Alchemy RPG, a new virtual tabletop focused on giving gamers an immersive way to play TTRPGs, is absolutely crushing it on Kickstarter.

Virtual Tabletops are a new frontier in TTRPGs. They’ve also been around for more than a decade. Time is funny that way. But even amid the Roll20s and Foundries out there, people are still exploring what can be done with the technology. From immersive 3D tabletops, like what you might see in Talespire, to tabletop platforms with their own integrated games. There’s a lot of innovation out there.

And Alchemy, which promises “an immersive way” to play TTRPGs looks to be the next big hit on Kickstarter. So far, they’ve raised $372,094 of their $10,000 goal. So it looks like Alchemy is definitely happening. The only thing left to see is how far they can push their stretch goals in the next twenty days.

Alchemy RPG – A Reimagined Virtual Tabletop

After a year in Early Access beta, we’re excited to introduce Alchemy Version One, and we need your help to get it across the finish line.

In addition to offering the complete Alchemy feature set, Version One introduces officially licensed first-party support for 12 game systems, content modules from over 50 of the industry’s most beloved publishers and creators, and Alchemy Enhanced; an immersive new way to experience your favorite titles with a thematic interface, bespoke motion graphics, original scores, and ambiences.

Alongside the initial Kickstarter, as part of the campaign, there’s a set of absolutely gorgeous cards, gathered into four different themes. There’s a Fantasy Deck, a Futures Deck, a Modern Deck, and a Dystopia Deck. Each one features cards designed by Alchemy’s partnership with 30 different content creators. And that’s just the start of it.

But what does “an immersive way to play” actually mean? Alchemy lets you customize your UI to fit the tone and theme of your world. In fact, it’s very much about vibes and aesthetics. You can make your windows match, so you’re not dealing with windows that look like they’re out of Windows 95 unless you want to.

Alchemy also lets you seamlessly integrate music and ambient sounds, looping animations, you name it… all in the name of setting the vibe. And with an integrated voice chat, you don’t have to go anywhere else to actually play your game. You can just get right into being in character.

‘Alchemy’ RPG is set to launch Version 1 in September.
