So far the Swordsmith Village Arc of Demon Slayer has only been available in subs. But Crunchyroll just announced that the dub is on its way.

While those of us in Sub Land are a few episodes into the third season of Demon Slayer, the dub isn’t being simulcast and hasn’t yet seen the light of day. But according to Crunchyroll, that is going to change starting very soon.

Demon Slayer Dub

Crunchyroll announced yesterday that the English dub of the latest season of Demon Slayer: The Swordsmith Village Arc, will be “unsheathed” and available exclusively on Crunchyroll starting this weekend, on May 28th at 1:30PM Pacific Time. New dubbed episodes will air on a weekly basis after this weekend.

Subtitled episodes are simulcasted from Japan to the Crunchyroll streaming service. Episodes have been available exclusively in North America, South America, and Europe since the season’s premiere on April 9th.

The English Dub cast includes:

Zach Aguilar as Tanjiro Kamado
Abby Trott as Nezuko Kamado
Aleks Le as Zenitsu Agatsuma
Bryce Papenbrook as Inosuke Hashibira
Griffin Burns as Muichiro Tokito
Kira Buckland as Mitsuri Kanroji
Zeno Robinson as Genya
Christopher Corey Smith as Hantengu
Brent Mukai as Gyokko

The Swordsmith Village Arc

After the huge critical and commercial success of the Demon Slayer film, Mugen Train, the first episode of season three had a theatrical premiere date. But if you missed it, every episode has also been available on Crunchyroll.

Once again, Tanjiro finds himself in need of a replacement sword. But after making the trip to the Swordsmith’s village, he finds that the swordsmith has gone missing. Only these characters live in a world full of demons with superhuman abilities and a thirst for revenge, so it’s not likely that he went for a walk and got turned around. Almost immediately after, Tanjiro’s trip goes even further off of the rails as he meets two previously un-befriended Hashira, and then the village is attacked by a whole bunch of high-ranked demons.

And of course, Tanjiro can’t help but make friends with almost everyone along the way.

About Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro, his sister Nezuko, and the Demon Slayer Corps as they attempt to rid the world of bloodthirsty demons. Only, their life is made infinitely more difficult and interesting when Nezuko herself becomes a demon who refuses to eat humans to survive.

It’s a show full of beautiful animation, unique and likable characters, and incredible world-building. Demon Slayer has taken off as a runaway hit. The Mugen Train movie set records, won awards, and made a name for itself not just as anime, but as one of the best films of 2021. So far, The Swordsmith Village arc has been holding up to the same standard.
