Fight Evil By Moonlight With This Sailor Moon Cosplay
This moon-themed champion of love and justice is giving up precious video game time to save the world. Again.
Whether it was your starter anime, a show you got to along the way, or just something that you’ve known has been around and are nostalgic for a while, you’re almost definitely familiar with Sailor Moon. One of the biggest shōjo anime in the world, Sailor Moon has seen hundreds of episodes, multiple movies, live shows, video games, and more than thirty years’ worth of success.
The title character, Sailor Moon / Usagi / Serena was probably a bit too relatable for some of us growing up. She was more interested in sleeping in and playing video games than doing homework and started out too lazy and scared to do any real-world saving. But with the help of her friends, she eventually becomes the hero the world needs and one of anime’s biggest shōjo superheroes.
Suffice it to say, there are a ton of Sailor Moon cosplays out there… and I love them all. In fact, not appreciating a good Sailor Moon reference is probably the first sign that I’ve been taken by space aliens. And cosplayer Caryu Cospre adds an extra hit of nostalgic fun with a photoshoot on a giant light-up moon. There’s understanding the assignment, and then there’s understanding the assignment.

“I am Sailor Moon, the champion of justice. In the name of the moon, I will right wrong and triumph over evil… and that means you!”
“I wasn’t always fighting for love and justice. I was fighting for my friends and loved ones.”
“Girls have to protect to be strong to protect the men they love.”
