Mirage Gets a New Jazzed Up Look in ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is introducing a ton of new bots to the big screen – meet Mirage!
The upcoming movie adds characters long-time fans will recognize. The trailer features Cheetor, Airazor, and Rhinox of Beast Wars. Some of the bots carry classic names like Battletrap and Wheeljack, but not their forms. Inspiration didn’t just come from the shows and comics; there are nods to the toys in the trailers. Optimus Primal’s double swords are seen in one of the massive battles, which are straight from the toy. Clearly, the folks working on this are fans, and they know their stuff.
This new clip offers some new action-packed scenes, plus an introduction to Mirage, who is played by Pete Davidson. This will be the G-1 Autobot’s first big screen appearance, and (like a few other characters) he’s got a new look. His alt-form looks more like Jazz in this movie than the F1 racer in the cartoons. Better choice for hiding in plain sight.
