There’s a new Space Marine board game that features a whole lot of Termagants and a lone Lieutenant Titus. He’ll be fine.

Games Workshop loves to crank out board games these days that function as new introductions to the Warhammer Universes. This time around we’re getting a cross-over from the digital realm into the board game arena. Space Marine the video game is getting a board game adaptation coming soon.

“The grim protagonist of this campaign of xenos extermination is coming to a tabletop near you in miniature form, the star of a new tie-in board game.”

Unfortunately we don’t know much about the actual game part of the this board game. However, we at least know what’s coming in the box…mostly.

“Space Marine: The Board Game contains 23 push-fit miniatures – that’s Lieutenant Titus, 20 Termagants, and two Ripper Swarms. You’ll also get a double-sided game board, a 40-page rulebook including backstory, two training missions, and two unique missions – plus all the accessories you need to play the game.”

Based on what we’ve seen from the upcoming Leviathan starter box, it looks like those are the same Termagants — so those are “new” as are the Ripper Swarms. I’m guessing those are all on the same sprues.

But the real star of the show is going to be Lieutenant Titus who’s coming in full plastic glory:

Titus is back in action and you can see his power armor has taken a bit of a beating. Also note that his wrist has a chain around it — I wonder if that has something to do with the ending from the first Space Marine video game. He’s also clearly been Primaris’d and also note that he’s got four service studs in his brow denoting his many years of service.

This will be a nice chance to grab a unique miniature in it’s own board game format. If you’re looking to add a character to your Adeptus Astartes collection or if you just want to get a whole bunch of Termagants keep an eye out for this boxed set. It’s first coming to Target stores in the US and “a similar set will be coming to other territories at a later date. ” Additionally, Titus will be released later as a separate miniature in the future. I’d also guess that the Termagants will be, too.
