Warhammer+ Debuts First Warhammer 40K: 10th Edition Battle Report – Watch For Free
Warhammer+ is back and this time it’s the first official Warhammer 40,000: Battle Report. And you can watch for FREE!
Warhammer 40,000: 10th Edition is right around the corner ( at least according to one pretty strong indicator) an to ramp things up Games Workshop is showcasing a Battle Report. Warhammer+ has the goods and they have the video available on Warhammer TV as well as on the Warhammer Youtube Page:
For this game, Si and Ben are playing the new Combat Patrol game mode – a balanced, fast-paced version of Warhammer 40,000 using only the contents of the Combat Patrol boxes. All of the miniatures you’ll see come from the incredible Leviathan boxed set, which conveniently contains all the miniatures you need for two full Combat Patrols, tuned with bespoke datasheets designed specially for the Combat Patrol game.
Warhammer 40,000 10th Edition Battle Report
Not only are we seeing the new boxed set miniatures in a 10th Edition Battle Report but we’re also seeing Combat Patrols in action! There’s a lot of firsts in this video for sure.
The Tyranid Combat Patrol features some gnarly ‘Nids from the Leviathan Box. There’s Termagants, a Psychophage, Von Ryan’s Leapers, Barbgaunts and a Winged Hive Tyranid Prime leading them into battle. On the Space Marine side it’s Strike Force Octavius which is a group of Terminators, the new Pyreblaster Specialists of the Infernus Squad, a Terminator Librarian, and of course the Space Marine Captain in Terminator Armor.
Curious to see how this one plays out? Me too! It’s a 36 minute video and that includes a lot of fancy cuts, graphics, and mid-game interviews. I have a feeling that this game goes pretty quick! However it plays out you’ll get your first real taste of a game of Warhammer 40,000: 10th Edition!
I’m going to be watching to see the game in action and to see how a Combat Patrol really works. Just based on the models my first guess is the Space Marines have an upper hand. Terminators are no joke to take out and Pyroblasters seem like the perfect counter to hordes of Termagants. Then again the ‘Nids might have the numbers to drag them down through sheer weight of fire…that’s what we’re all watching to find out.
Also, I gotta say that this board looks crazy cool. I love that they used dried out lotus pods for the terrain. As a long time Tyranid player I’ve seen those used many times for themed terrain and they always look great!
In case you were wondering or wanted to used them for your own hobby projects…
Warhammer 40,000: 10th Edition is coming soon! Are you ready?!
