Warhammer Next Week: Heresy Era Tanks And Nightmare Quest
The big guns roll out for a new wave of Heresy era heavy firepower, and following in their wake, Nightmare Quest for Warcry.
The big guns of the Horus Heresy roll out as part of next week pre-orders, with the classic tanks from Forge World coming back with new plastic sponson sprues, and more. There’s a lot of artillery, and even some weapon upgrades for the Javelin Land Speeder.
And then in Warcry news, Nightmare Quest is here at last, along with two new warbands. Alongside them, the warbands from Bloodhunt are available on their own now. All this, next week!
Heresy Tanks – Big Guns, Plastic Sponsons
Classic tanks from the Forge World range are making their way back in a big way. With new plastic sponsons, and of course, new weapons to play with, there’s upgrades coming for plenty of the heaviest armor this side of the 31st Millennium:
The super-heavy Legion transport known as the Mastodon is a mighty beast that keeps whole platoons of Space Marines safe within its hull, while the Fellblade, Falchion, and Glaive ferry supremely powerful weapons to the front while soaking up return fire. The Mastodon will also soon be getting an updated datasheet to allow all of the options available on the new sponson sprue, such as volkite culverins and heavy bolters.
The Arquitor Bombards are here as well. With spicula rocket system, grvaiton-charge cannon, or morbus heavy bombard. And of course, a pair of sponsons that can mount up a wider variety of weapons as well, including autocannons, lascannons, heavy flamers, heavy bolters, and volkite culverins.
The Javelin Land Speeder and Damocles Command Rhino also get new options, with the Javelin getting new weapons and an updated datasheet, while the Damocles is an upgrade for the Deimos that makes it more of a mobile command base.
Warcry – Nightmare Quest
Meanwhile, in the Mortal Realms, the battle for the Ravening Ruin rages on. In the Gnarlwood, the new Flesh-eater Courts and Stormcast Eternal warbands face off in a new boxed set: Nightmare Quest.
In Nightmare Quest you get the two new warbands, the Questor Soulsworn, pictured above. And the Royal Beastflayers, below.
You’ll also get a packet of scenery, a 64 page warband tome, game board, and more. But that’s not all, because following hot on the heels of Nightmare Quest are the two warbands from Bloodhunt, now available individually.
The Askurgan Trueblades revel in their Soulblight Gravelord-dom.
While the Claws of Karanak show what it means to be Khornate.
All this, next week!
