Age of Sigmar: Dawnbringers Regiments of Renown Pricing Breakdown
We know the price point of the new Dawnbringers Regiments of Renown but are they worth the price? Time to do some basic math to find out.
Earlier this week we got the pricing info for the new Dawnbringers boxed sets coming out. They all have a price point of $130. Now that we know that and what’s included in each box we can see if we’re getting any sort of deals. The one real outlier is the characters because we don’t know how much those would be individually. However, we can estimate their value based on other similar characters. So let’s find out what these price breakdowns will be!
Dawnbringers Pricing Breakdown
Dawnbringers: Fyreslayers – Fjori’s Flamebearers
10x Hearthguard Berzerkers = $110 (1 box of 5 = $55)
10x Vulkite Berzerkers = $60
Fjori = $35 (based on Infantry Heroes)
Total Individual MSRP = $205
Savings = $75
If the price point of $130 holds out then this is still a heck of a deal for the Fyreslayers. Just the savings on the Hearthguard and Vulkites alone make this box a deal. Adding in the hero is the cherry on top.
Dawnbringers: Flesh-eater Courts – Jerrion’s Delegation
20x Ghouls = $45
3x Crypt Horrors = $60
3x Crypt Flayers = $60
Jerrion Ghoul Hero = $35 (based on AoS Infantry Heroes)
Total Individual MSRP = $200
Total Savings = $70
Another good deal even without the hero. For Flesh-Eater Court armies having more Ghouls is usually a win. As far as the Crypt Horrors/Flayers some builds will have a use for them as well. Not a bad addition especially with the discounts involved.
Dawnbringers: Gloomspite Gitz – Braggit’s Bottle-snatchaz
Gobbapolooza = $60
Squig Herd = $55
Squig Hoppers = $60
Braggit Gloomspite Gits Hero = $35 (based on Gloomspite Squigboss)
Total Individual MSRP = $210
Total Savings = $80
This is also a good deal. Honestly, I’d also recommend the Vanguard box in addition to this as well as the Loonshrine. If you got all three you’d almost have a complete army. I haven’t done the points on that but It would be a good start for sure. I’d probably swap the Squig Hoppers out for Boingrot Bounderz because they hit hard on the charge…but that’s another article altogether.
Saving $80 on this box is a good start if you wanted to go with a squig-heavy themed army.
Dawnbringers: Maggotkin of Nurgle – Phlugoth’s Shudderhood
Putrid Blightkings = $60
Pusgoyle Blightlords = $75
Phlugoth = $60 (based on mounted Hero Horticulous Slimux)
Total Individual MSRP = $195
Total Savings = $65
So this one isn’t the best deal of the batch. However if you were going to pick-up the Blightkings and Blightlords snagging that hero model for basically free is a good deal. And that model is just plain rad. I think GW knew exactly what they were doing building out this box set compared to the others…
