Let Eldfall Chronicles: Northern Wind be your first step into this deeply expansive world with multiple ways to play.

Smart game designers know how to find multiple ways to use the elements from their games in multiple ways. This can be mechanics like when a card has multiple uses, or when a resource can be spent for different bonuses. But when you’re playing Eldfall Chronicles, you could be using the same components to play two entirely unique games.

Eldfall Chronicles is a skirmish tabletop miniatures wargame, inspired by MMORPGs. Players will be building a small party of mercenaries and battling monsters or other parties, building up their characters with new abilities and items.

However, if you’re playing the newest big box standalone expansion called Eldfall Chronicles: Northern Wind, then you’re playing a grid-based dungeon-crawling adventure. It takes the base game’s rules and combat mechanics and adopts them to fit in a brand-new style of gameplay. Even though it’s technically an expansion, you do not need either box to be able to fully play the other. The characters, monsters, various upgrades, and more can be used within both games. And with these minis being as awesome as they are, you’ll be wanting to use them as much as you can!

Hours of Replayable Content

Even if you don’t have the base Eldfall Chronicles game, you can still pick up Northern Wind without worry. It is a standalone expansion that plays perfectly well on its own. But it also seamlessly integrates with the base game, enhancing both with additional content.

Northern Wind focuses more on deeply tactical gameplay, as well as gives the option to play through the full campaign. The campaign provides roughly 30 hours of branching storylines, captivating narratives, and unexpected twists and turns. Of course, adding models from the base Eldfall Chronicles game adds even more options for replayability and party customization.

If you’re looking for something more competitive, Northern Wind can also be played in PvP mode with tactical skirmish combat. The rules also allow for one player to control the enemies, creating a type of game closer to something like HeroQuest as well! No matter your preference, the Eldfall Chronicles games have a mode for you.

Endlessly Customize Your Character

As characters progress through the game, they will gain Valor, which can be turned in to gain class levels. Expect characters in Northern Wind to be fully realized RPG characters and not just limited to gaining this character having a +1 bonus to one stat over another. There are so many ways to build and enhance your characters.

Of course, characters have their attributes like Health and Stamina, Intellect and Agility, and more. But, they also have passive abilities called Traits. There are active skills that can provide effects like Stealth. Some characters have mastered the way of the blade with their Combat Arts, providing specializations into types of combat, like Fencing. Plus, there are spells to be learned, stratagems to be employed, and powerful items to be wielded.

Each of these will grow and level up right alongside your character. This provides new and additional abilities for your character as they progress further into the campaign.
