‘Foundation’ Season 2 – The War for the Galactic Empire Begins Now
In the latest trailer, tension is growing throughout the galaxy–a war for the future is coming. Is the Foundation ready?
In Season One, the Galactic Empire, after reigning unchallenged for twelve millennia, is on the brink of collapse. Only Hari Seldon, the mind behind the futuristic science of psychohistory, can foresee the impending era of darkness. An epoch filled with ignorance, savagery, and conflict, destined to last for thirty thousand years is coming.
In order to safeguard knowledge and protect humanity, Seldon assembles the Empire’s finest intellects and transports them to a desolate planet on the galaxy’s edge. This refuge he calls the Foundation. However, the nascent Foundation soon finds itself threatened by ambitious warlords rising from the ashes of the dwindling Galactic Empire. Humanity’s last and greatest hope is faced with a grave dilemma. Do they surrender to the barbarians and endure a life of servitude, or fight for freedom and risk utter annihilation?

New Foundation S2 Trailer
Season Two looks to be moving into the next chapter of Asimov’s saga. The uprising is raging, and the Foundation has become a threat to the Empire. A war is coming. The Foundation has to be ready to fight.
For those familiar with the books, this trailer holds some mysteries and some big possibilities. Without spoiling for those that aren’t, here are a few things I found especially interesting for different reasons. Is that who I think it might be?
Foundation Season 2 Cast & Details
This season sees the return of Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Terrence Mann, and Cassian Bilton. They’re joined by three characters from the books – Dimitri Leonidas as Hober Mallow, Ben Daniels as General Bel Riose, and Kulvinder Ghir as Poly Verisof. Plus, new characters were created for the show.
More than a century after the Season 1 finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy Empire from within. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with special abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. Meanwhile, the Foundation and Empire are on a collision course for war with the fate of humanity in the balance.
